NOTICE OF INTENDED WORKS - PROPOSED STOREROOM

Please note that on Monday 26 July work will start to convert areas of the Changing Rooms into a Storeroom. Details of the intended work were published on the Club Web Site and displayed on the Official Notice Board in the Clubhouse some time ago.

We are allowing 2 weeks for the work, following which the Entrance Hall carpet will then be replaced. Therefore, there will be major disruption in the area for, potentially, a total of 3 weeks, during which time temporary arrangements will be in place so that players can continue to use the Club facilities with minimum inconvenience.

At the start of the working day, the contractors will open the second door, near the Kitchen, which all Members are asked to use during the day instead of the main door. Balls, sticks, booking sheets, visitors’ book, etc, will all be re-located somewhere in the TT area. There should, therefore, be no need for access through the work in progress, except to use the toilets. There is also an outside toilet, of course, if you prefer - for the access code see “Wee News” on the Notice Boards. After 4 pm, access to the Clubhouse will be as usual.

We hope that normal service will be resumed by Monday 16 Aug. Please bear with us during this disruption. If anyone has any concerns as work is in progress, please do not hesitate to contact Linda Ganter, Pavilion Member.

Kathy wins national award!

We are thrilled to learn that Kathy Charles is Aegon’s Coach of the Month for April.

View the LTA AEGON Awards Website

This is a national award given by the LTA’s major sponsor to the coach who has had the most impact on British tennis during the period.

“I was absolutely gob-smacked” when I heard,” said Kathy. Well, we’re not surprised. We are very proud to have her as our Head Coach and think she fully deserves this accolade.

Well done, Kathy!
